Cleveland Cavaliers forward LeBron James has moved one step closer to being the greatest scorer that the NBA has ever known.

As you can see from the video clip above, courtesy of the NBA, James passed Houston Rockets legend Hakeem Olajuwon in order to move into sole possession of 10th place on the league’s all-time scoring list during the early portion of tonight’s matchup with the Philadelphia 76ers.

Now that James has moved past the 26,946 point threshold, he’ll set his sights on Elgin Baylor as he’s next up on LeBron’s radar with 27,313 career points scored during his storied career.

The Sixers came so close to pulling off an upset over the defending champion Cavaliers Saturday at the Wells Fargo Center.

The Sixers had fought back from an 18-point deficit to take a five-point lead in the fourth. The Cavs went up 102-101 off a Channing Frye three with just over a minute to play. The score remained the same as the game came down to the final possession with 7.3 seconds left.

Gerald Henderson drove for an attempted game winner and lost the ball. Iman Shumpert grabbed the steal to hold on for the Cavs’ win.

The Cavaliers improved to a perfect 6-0, the Sixers dropped to 0-5.
