One comment in Seth Meyers’ YouTube channel read: “Dear God, Seth! Where have you been?” Apparently, America misses late night shows badly.
So in Monday’s episode of a Closer Look, before boarding the topic about team Trump’s absurd defenses for Donald Trump Jr.’s emails, Seth went through a set of hilarious takes on events happening on the day, like President Trump climbing on the driver’s seat of a fire truck at an event outside the White House, Sean Spicer taking a photo while Trump sat in the front seat; and also about the president sporting a cowboy’s hat at the #MadeInAmericaWeek event.
But not even the loooong handshake with French president Emmanuel Macron was long enough to brush off the issue of the emails that have been the talk of the town for over a week now.

Seth Meyers’ point of view is expressed in a hilarious way, but it makes a lot of sense. Maybe through a laugh, Trump’s team can take seriously that Don Jr. has lied, and changed his statements in a way that he has splashed burning oil on the investigation of possible collusion with the Russians.
And all the absurd defenses by team Trump look like they are helping Donald Jr.’s lies.
“It is a crime to receive something of value when you are a campaign official from a foreign person or foreign government,” Fox News host Andrew Napolitano has recently said on the network. “Is this enough to commence a criminal investigation? The answer: yes. Because it is suspicious that they met with these people, that they didn’t consult a lawyer, that one of these people is former KGB-GRU — that’s the Russian intelligence arm.”
Yes, Trump and Trump Jr. are getting excused from many, specially those appearing on Fox News shows like ‘Fox & Friends’ and comments coming from hosts ‘Jeanine Pirro’, and ‘Hannity’. But as we go past six months into Trump’s administration, so many surrogates ramping out left and right to defend daily scandals and missteps is only adding to the mistrust the American people have of this administration.
If not, watch again when Fox News Eric Bolling goes back to the absurd tactic and fake news of ‘It’s all Hilary’s fault’ saying it was actually Hillary colluding with the Russians by tying the Russian lawyer in the meeting to a Democratic research firm called Fusion GPS.
Can you believe that?
Well, it seems for some people, nothing is too stupid to be true.
